This beautiful award has been adapted from a stained glass window designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Dana-Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois. Constructed in 1902, the Dana Thomas House was built for Susan Lawrence Dana, a social activist and socialite. Because of the unlimited budget of the patron, Frank Lloyd Wright created some of his finest and most detailed art glass compositions for this elaborate home. Many are geometric abstractions of natural elements with the midwestern sumac plant as the primary motif. The natural form was interpreted, reduced to its basic geometry, and used in a variety of ways on more than two hundred windows, doors, skylight panels, and light fixtures throughout the home. The rich amber and brown palette mirrors the autumnal color scheme of the prairie.
No minimum. Each award is branded with the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection copyright, and a portion of the sale is being donated to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation on behalf of your purchase to ensure the continuity of this spirit. A romance booklet about this award and your donation is included for your presentation. The two-toned gift box features blue and silver laminates highlighted by a square silver button on top. The telescoping lid covers all but the very bottom, exposing a silver band for a designer look and snug fit. The interior is lined with luxurious blue satin. Aesthetically pleasing and extremely sturdy, these boxes will surely be reused by their recipients. Positive comments guaranteed! | Material: Optic Crystal | Packaging: Bulk, Gift Box Style D
